Our Sponsors

Girl Guides Victoria is indebted to the organisations who sponsor the work we are doing.

This funding provided is instrumental in creating opportunities for girls and we are grateful for the support and be associated with these organisations.

State Government of Victoria

Girl Guides Victoria acknowledges the generous funding from the State Government of Victoria to improve some of our Halls and properties and to develop and implement our Social Inclusion Strategy. The funding that has been received has been significant and we extremely grateful to the State Government for their support of Guiding.

Our Partners

Collaboration with other like-minded organisations creates wonderful opportunities to share ideas and resources.

In recent years we have created some exciting partnerships and we are reaping the rewards with a number of new opportunities opening up for girls (and volunteers) to investigate and try.

Our Business Partners

We are moving into the area of engaging with businesses to deliver opportunities to benefit our members and their families. This is a new area for us and we are looking to grow these opportunities in the future.

Getaway Trekking & Adventures

Girl Guides Victoria is excited to be working with Getaway Trekking and Adventures on a range of 2015 treks for members from the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea to the Kimberley Trek and Paddle in Western Australia. Watch this space!

Our Advocacy Partners

We are working in partnership with like-minded organisations to create opportunities for girls to reach out in their communities and change their world. We are doing this by working with our wonderful advocacy partners on special Girl Guide Advocacy Campaigns. Take a look at what we are going.

Our Supporters

There are a number of groups who support Guiding and many of them are made up of members of GGV.

These groups support the work being undertaken in Guiding in a number of ways such as fundraising and by mentoring and coaching.

The Queen’s Guide Association

The Queen's Guide Association is a group open to all recipients of the Queen’s Guide Award in Australia, the Queen’s Guide Award in another country and those holding the highest Youth Peak Achievement award in another country.

Its purpose is to provide a forum for members to come together and maintain a connection with the wider Guiding community. It is not a forum for recruiting people into the Movement for leadership purposes. It is an independent Association that has the support of Girl Guides Victoria.

Through members it is hoped to promote the Queen's Guide Award and to lift the profile of Guiding within the broader community.

Communication is via a regular newsletter and events are held during the year.

Newsletter No 1 gives more information about the Association, fees etc.
